For Couples Planning Their Retirement Cruise

“I dread that we’ll board the wrong ship for our retirement trip and spend two weeks quietly disappointed.”

If that thought has crossed your mind, you’re not being dramatic. You’re being smart. Watch this short video first.

The Real Risk

It won’t be a disaster. That’s the problem.

Nothing will go wrong enough to complain about. The ship will be clean, the food will be fine, the ports will be pretty.

But the dining room will feel like a cafeteria. The pool deck will be louder than you expected. You’ll be up at 6 a.m. for a port you didn’t care about, then stuck inside on sea days with nothing you actually wanted to do.

You’ll smile at dinner, tell the kids it was lovely, and privately wonder: was that it?

You worked for decades to earn this trip. You don’t get a do-over on your first voyage of retirement.

Why It Happens

Why so many retirees end up on the wrong ship

Most people pick a cruise by destination and price. But the ship shapes your trip far more than the itinerary does.

Every ship looks perfect online

The photos all show sunsets and empty balconies. They don’t show the crowds, the noise, or the lines.

The wrong crowd and energy

Some ships are built for families and late nights. Others are so quiet they feel sleepy. The “vibe” rarely makes the brochure.

A pace that doesn’t fit you

A port every day can be exhausting. Too many sea days can drag. The right rhythm depends on how you like to travel.

“Included” isn’t always included

Drinks, gratuities, Wi-Fi, specialty dining, and excursions can add up fast, and change how the whole trip feels.

The wrong cabin on the right ship

Location matters: motion, noise, and how far you walk every day. Small details that make a big difference over two weeks.

Reviews that contradict each other

One person’s “relaxing” is another’s “boring.” Without context, reviews add more confusion than clarity.

The Right Ship, On Purpose

How I make sure you board the right ship

  1. 1

We talk about how you travel

Not just where you want to go, but how you like to spend a day, what you’re celebrating, and what would disappoint you.

  2. 2

I narrow it to the ships that fit

A short list of ships that suit your pace, style, and budget, with honest pros and cons for each. No guessing.

  3. 3

    I handle every detail

The right suite, the right sailing, and the details around it, so all you have to do is pack and celebrate.

Questions

Good to know before we talk.

We’ve cruised before. Do we really need an advisor?

Experienced cruisers often get the most out of it. You already know what you like and what you don’t, and I can use that to steer you toward ships you haven’t tried that fit you even better.

We don’t know where we want to go yet.

That’s completely fine. Many of my favorite trips start with “we just know we want to celebrate.” We’ll figure out the right destination and ship together.

Is there a cost?

The Discovery Call is free. If you'd like to move forward and have me research options and plan your trip, I charge a $100 deposit. It's refunded back to you when you have paid for your trip in full. Should you choose not to book your trip, I will keep the deposit for the investment of my time.

Is there any obligation to book?

No. The call is a relaxed conversation with no pressure and no obligation. If it's a good fit, I'll put together options for you to consider.
